Why I do what I do?
“I was raised in rural Cullman County Alabama. One summer I worked for a veterinarian. After that summer, I decided that I would rather work on people than “stinky” cows. I had always loved going to the dentist and I enjoyed my dental visits. When I was in the fifth grade I had a bad experience with my teeth and my dentist was able to take care of me. From that time on I was interested in the field of Dentistry and I knew this would be one area that I could make a real difference in the lives of others. I have enjoyed taking care of my patients and interacting with them for over 25 years.”

Why I do what I do?
“While at Auburn, I decided to follow my brother, Greg, into the dental field. In the twenty plus years that I have practiced, I have met many wonderful people. For some, going to the dentist is a very stressful event and one of the rewards I receive from practicing dentistry is relieving those fears and making their visit a pleasant one.”
Dr. Riley enjoys golfing, exercising, and watching Auburn football. He is married to Rhonda and has three children, Katie, John, and Ross.

Why I do what I do?
“As early as middle school my father was trying to talk up dentistry because he thought it looked like a more interesting job than his own. I wasn’t convinced until high school when I shadowed Dr. Greg and Dr. Riley here at Dental Associates and saw how light-hearted they managed to keep things at work while still helping people. I decided then that it was my calling to try and put a smile on people’s faces for a living. ”
